![]() ![]() Team A is Tuesday and Team B is Thursday. When We Meet: Tuesdays or Thursdays from 3:30 to 5:00 pm depending on what team they are on. It is a great place to explore new avenues in science and build relationships with fellow students who have a passion for science. Thursday, JSchool Board Work Session on Recommended Titles. Monday, Apat 6:00pm at West Port High School-Adoption committee meetings to review community feedback, hold discussion and vote. ![]() The state competition is generally held at Auburn University at the end of March. Thursday, MaCommunity Review at Marion Technical Institute (Building Two) from 6:00-8:00pm. The top four teams at regionals will qualify for the state competition. The regional tournament is generally in February/March. Our teams will participate in 2-3 Invitational tournaments in the fall and winter before competing in the regional tournament. Students do not need to enroll in the course in order to be on the team. What We Do: Liberty's teams prepare for 23 different events pertaining to various scientific disciplines, including earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering. We also went to the University of Alabama where we won Regionals and later went to Auburn University where we won State! We competed in Kansas for Nationals and came in 36th place but were in the top 20 in 4 events and we even scored 7th place in Can't Judge a Powder!! Last year (22-23) we attended 3 tournaments out-of-state and took home 1st at the Chatthoochee High School Invitational in GA, 2nd place at the Dodgen/Walton Invitational in GA, and 2nd place at the Friendship Christian School Invitational in TN.
